Our Facilities
At the Lido there are 5 facilities that are available for hire, either on their own or in combination. These are:
- The Main Pool
- The Children’s Pool
- The Cabin
- The grassed field
- The Marquee
It is important to note that the swimming pools cannot be hired for exclusive use during Public Opening Hours.
Car park
Arundel Lido has its own pay and display car park situated right next to the swimming pool. The car park is monitored by Arun District Council so please ensure that all parking fees are paid to reduce the chance of any unwanted parking tickets.
Tickets for the car park can be purchased using the RINGO app or by coins. There is no card payment facilities on our pay and display machine.
Site
The whole of the Lido site is fully accessible for all our visitors, with an entry ramp and a flat surface throughout the rest of the site.
Main Pool
We have a 25m main pool with a 5m entry area with easy accessible entry steps including a handrail.
Within the main section of the 25m pool we can accommodate up to 5 swimming lanes, but set ups change depending on the session.
There is always a swim lane in this pool even during open swims except when Sid the Sub inflatable is in the pool.
The pool depth is 1m – 1.5m pool temp 28 degrees
Children under 8 must be accompanied in the water unless they have passed a competency swim test by a Duty Manager or Swim Teacher. Non swimmers will be asked to stay in the shallow end of the pool.
Small Pool
Our small pool is suitable for children under 8 accompanied by an adult and family members. The pool is 0m – 0.65m deep and this pool is also heated to 28 degrees.
Play Equipment
We have 3 items of play equipment to keep little people entertained.
Our Trim Trail tests your ability to travel over the different equipment including wobbly bridges.
Our Castle allows you to test your climbing skills and enjoy the side on the way down.
Our Toddler play equipment is a mini version for our smaller visitors to climb and play.
All play equipment is used at your own risk and adults should be supervising their children at all times.
Changing Rooms
We have different size changing rooms to ensure everyone can access.
We have a family change that is just a large open room with benches, a changing table and a nappy bin for your convenience.
Individual changing rooms, for visitors who like to change on their own with a small bench to make changing easier.
Larger changing rooms that are suitable for individuals, small families and small groups with a wide L shaped bench to help make changing easier.
Toilets
We have an accessible toilet with handrails, wash sink, hand towels and mirrors.
Male Toilets with urinals, 2 cubicles, wash sink, hand towels and mirrors.
Female Toilet with 2 cubicles, wash sink, hand towels, hair dryer and mirrors.
First aid
Our first aid room has a changing bed, general first aid facilities and is the home to our spinal board.
Kiosk
We serve hot and cold drinks, snacks such as chocolate and crisps, a large variety of Ice Creams and hot food including Hot Dogs, Chips, Pizza Twists and Paninis.
Marquee
Our Marquee is available for hire, and is also the home for our Elevenses group to host their Community Cuppa on a Monday.
Playing Field
This is a great space to play games and enjoy the freedom between swimming
So Many Reasons To Hire Arundel Lido
Since its re-opening, the Lido has been hired for many types of functions from live music events to TV filming, birthday parties to triathlons.
We’ve had yoga, slimming groups, calligraphy classes, children’s art classes and writers’ groups in the Cabin; Aqua Aerobics, lifeguard training and scuba lessons in the main pool, and everything from football tournaments to sell out live music shows and black-tie balls and wedding receptions on our field.
